Dr Paula Hull

Background experience

I have worked in mental health services since 1998, and specifically with children, adolescents and their families since 2003. In my current NHS role I work as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in a busy CAMHS service where I sit in the senior management team and manage both psychology and psychological therapies more widely. I offer assessment and treatment for a wide range of behavioural and emotional difficulties throughout childhood from birth across the lifespan. I undertake medico-legal work in the area of personal injury with children and adults. I have a special interest in anxiety disorders including panic and specific phobia, OCD and PTSD. I incorporate a range of therapeutic approaches in my work, although I have a special interest in cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT). I am a qualified CBT therapist accredited with the BABCP, and trained in EMDR and DBT. I also offer supervision in CBT, and can be commissioned to develop and deliver training across most areas of child and adolescent mental health.
